Who We Are

Creative Adoptions, Inc. is a private non-profit (501)(c)(3), licensed child placing agency that was founded in July, 1990, with offices in Maryland, USA; Kingston, Jamaica; and Moscow, Russia. C.A.I. is also registered in the State of New York under section 371(10)(c) of the New York State Social Services Law. In addition, C.A.I. is Hague Accredited by the Council on Accreditation. C.A.I. has been working in Russia since 1994 and was federally accredited in the Russian Federation since the accreditation process began in 2000/2001. (See our Russian Permit for Adoption Activity). We have also been working in China since 1994 and have enjoyed continuous approval by The Peoples Republic of China. (See our updated China Letter of Appraisal).

The staff at Creative Adoptions, Inc. are experienced, professional, responsive and dedicated individuals who are committed to providing top quality services in the best interest of the children all around the world.

What We Do

C.A.I. is a full service agency specializing in international adoptions from Asia, The Caribbean and Eastern Europe. In addition to Homestudy and Postplacement/Postadoption supervision services available to our Maryland clients, C.A.I. offers to all clients throughout the United States and, in special instances overseas, complete guidance and assistance throughout the entire international adoption process. Services include ongoing Postplacement/Postadoption consultations, adoptive parenting education and training, assistance with compilation of formal adoption dossiers, US immigration assistance, translation services, and full child placing service the birth country of the child.

What We Believe

C.A.I. believes that children should be raised by their birth families and/or in their birth countries whenever that is possible. However, when it is not possible, C.A.I. believes that every child has the right to be parented in a loving and caring “forever” family.
